Hand Woven African Baskets

Each of these baskets is hand woven of natural grasses by an artisan who is continually developing her own style; she tags and signs each basket she completes. The size and shape of the baskets vary from artist to artist and the colors of the grasses vary according to the seasons. Without a nearby well for convenient fresh water access and lacking electricity to continue weaving into the evenings, it can take weeks for these women to complete a single basket.

Since each one of these baskets is unique, we decided to price them all at $21.00 and give them the same Product Code-F7570. When ordering, please write in the comments which basket style you prefer by location in the above photo. For example, if you write that you like the basket located in the left back of the photo, we'll send you the unlidded basket with the bi-color geometric design.
