Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), stimulating

Eucalyptus smells distinctively sharp, clear and fresh.

With its ability to kill airborn bacteria, stimulating eucalyptus essential oil is traditionally used in eastern medicine to relieve asthma and other respiratory ailments and it is a popular ingredient in inhalations and cough and throat remedies including gargles, lozenges and chest rubs. Eucalyptus oil has disinfectant and antiseptic properties and it is used to relieve insect bites; it is effective as an insect repellent and it is used to treat burns, blisters, cuts, wounds and muscular aches and pains.

Cautions: Should be used with care by individuals with high blood pressure. Those with epilepsy should avoid it completely. Excessive use of this oil may cause headaches.
